Principal UI Engineer

Packet Design is looking for a Principal UI Engineer to join our Santa Clara development team.

The Company: 

Packet Design, Inc. was founded by former Cisco executives and longtime technology entrepreneurs Judy Estrin and Bill Carrico to address IP network infrastructure problems.  Packet Design, Inc. offers a range of IP network analysis and control solutions that enhance the reliability, efficiency and predictability of IP networks, while retaining the economic and operational benefits that have established IP as the preeminent network for business and the Internet.  Packet Design is located in Santa Clara , California .

Qualifications:

  • Must have strong knowledge and experience with UI paradigms, UI ergonomics and UI look and feel.
  • Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience building UI interfaces of which 5 developing WEB 2.0 UIs.
  • Must have strong knowledge of the principles, theories, and practices of object-oriented programming.
  • At least 3 years of programming experience in an object oriented language like Java or C++.
  • Background working in POSIX- based development environments (LINUX, FreeBSD, Solaris, etc)

Educational requirement:

BS, Masters or Ph.D., Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent degree
