Senior Development Engineer
A Senior Development Engineer will work with a group of routing experts and architects and provide guidance to junior engineers, in order to develop and maintain product modules associated with the configuration, visualization and analysis of routing and traffic data.
Required Skills:
- 2-8 years of professional software development experience
- The candidate must have extensive development experience in C++ with STL A significant portion of this development experience must be on Linux/Unix environments
- The candidate must have a thorough understanding of UNIX or Linux operating system including sockets, threads and process synchronization mechanisms
- The candidate must have development experience using MySQL
- He/She must understand the principles, theories and practices of object oriented programming (OOP)
- BS/MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or BS/MS in computer science or related fields is required
- Knowledge in one or more of the following areas is a definite plus:
- Network monitoring and network management principles.
- Routing protocols IGP (OSPF, EIGRP, ISIS), EGP (BGP) or multicast protocols (DVMRP, PIM) or MPLS technology
