Packet Design Adds Two Resellers in Asia-Pacific
Region Continues to Show Rapid Sales Growth for Route Analytics Products
SANTA CLARA, Calif., Mar. 2, 2009 – Packet Design, the pioneer in route analytics solutions for managing large IP networks, has added two channel partners in the Asia Pacific region: Transition Systems, based in Singapore; and Network Media, in Hong Kong.
The two companies will market Packet Design's Route Explorer and Traffic Explorer families of network management solutions to service providers and enterprises in their respective regions. Route Explorer creates an end-to-end map of the layer 3 routing topology, showing routing changes as they occur. Traffic Explorer layers traffic-flow data onto this map, providing the first network-wide, "topology-aware" view of network traffic. The products help network engineers quickly identify and resolve problems, maintain large IP networks more effectively, and do more accurate network-change planning.
Steve Ackley, vice president of worldwide sales, said Packet Design's expansion of its Asian reseller base is a direct result of the rapid growth the company is seeing in the Asian market for route analytics.
"Our sales continue to grow faster in Asia than any other region, as service providers and large enterprises there develop ever more advanced and complex IP networks," Ackley said. "Transition and New Media will be key additions to our team of more than a dozen channel partners now covering the Asian market. Both companies will work with Lawrence Yee, Packet Design's director of sales for Asia-Pacific, who is based in the company's Singapore office.

(China), Ring Line Corporation (Taiwan), Alunan Persada (Malaysia), Expernet, NNSP Co. and Packet Leader (South Korea), Toyo Corporation (Japan) and DMX Technologies (Singapore).
